What’s On for November in Brisbane?

By Mel Keyte

We’re now two-thirds of the way into spring, and our sleepy little city is starting to get some life back into her. Things are picking up as the sun comes back out, and all Brisbane’s people are stirring from their winter hibernations. So how better to celebrate this lovely spring-time weather than jumping straight into all the wonderful activities Brisbane has to offer?

Check out a few of Brisbane’s top fun events happening in the month of November.

Saturday November 1st: Brisbane on Parade for G20 Cultural Celebrations

This rag-tag mish-mash of the Brisbane community will congregate at the Southbank parklands before setting off along the Southbank promenade to finish up at the Cultural Forecourt.

It’ll be an event not to be missed, so head along to Southbank at 4pm on Saturday the 1st of November and check it out.

Sunday November 2nd: Free Grass-Roots Music Festival

On this (hopefully) sunny Sunday, the great city of Brisbane is putting on a free Grass-Roots festival in the Mt. Coot-tha Botanic Gardens. The festival is family-friendly, alcohol-free and includes some of the area’s best country, blues, roots, folk and acoustic artists for a day in the park. The festival will kick off from about 11am and will continue until approximately 5 in the evening.

Bring a picnic, bring the family, and bring your dancin’ shoes because you’ll want to be hittin’ that patch of grass in front of the stage country dance-floor.

Sunday November 2nd -9th: Ben & Jerry’s OpenAir Cinemas
